Rebecca Carr, LPC, NCC, PMH-C
EMDR Certified Therapist

Hi there! I’m Rebecca. Glad you are here.

I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist and consultant, and have been counseling women for over twenty years. The majority of my work focuses on supporting individuals through perinatal mental health challenges, trauma, birth trauma and loss, grief, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, and life stage adjustment.

I am EMDRIA certified in EMDR and have completed advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. I trained in EMDR through the perinatal lens under Dr. Mara Tesler Stein and the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I’m also an EMDRIA approved consultant in training.

In addition to a specialization in treating trauma and anxiety, I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional and specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum adjustment, perinatal loss, OCD, perinatal trauma, and fertility issues. I provide emotional support through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

As an EDMR therapist, it is the lens which informs my practice. Experiences form how we feel and react. Sometimes those experiences have such an emotional charge that they don’t get processed correctly and lead to triggered responses. EMDR works to reprocess those experiences and in turn, reduces the negative feelings and symptoms such as anxiety or avoidance.

We all have stuff and sometimes that stuff gets in the way or causes distress. We will work together to help put things in a place where emotions are more manageable and you can get back to living a full, uninterrupted life.

I like to use humor too, because sometimes, it’s the best therapy and helps to reset perspectives. In a non-judgmental, positive environment we will work through emotions, perceptions, and challenges that may be impeding you from living an essentially better life.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality professional counseling services to adult women.

We can’t change what has occurred in the past, but we will work together to find closure, acceptance, and balance in the present.
